Titles and Credits Re-Visited - Max

We have decided that with the time available, we will do the credits in Motion before importing them into After Effects to change the colour hue of all the credits to a green or white, from the standard red used in Motion.

The type of font and effect we will be using is called Timer, this is when a jumble of letters appear before then all changing into different letters which will spell out the credits.

This is how the effect starts, you can clearly see that these words make no sense, they are simply a jumble of letters.

This font is not the right colour, but as I said we will change the colour hue in After Effects.

By this stage, the effect is nearly complete. As you can see the text almost spells "Acting by Max Slinger-Thompson"

This transition, from the completely jumbled letters, to this point, has only taken about a second, so we may have to slow down the effect in After Effects.

At this point, the effect has transformed the jumble of letters, into proper words.

This means that the effect is almost finished, and by the looks of it, this effect works pretty well for the desired effect. Our aim was to have some sort of text that is jumbled, and is then 'de-coded' to form proper words.

The words then begin to blink out one by one, bringing an end to the whole effect.

Despite this being a good effect, this part of the effect happens far too quickly, and doesn't leave long enough to get a good look at the text on the screen.

This will be easy to remedy, as we can either slow down the effect in After Effects, or use a freeze frame in Final Cut.

We will only be using this effect for the credits, and then we should be able to create a better effect for the main title.
